What went down at Saul Nash’s lululemon launch party

If you know Saul Nash, you know movement is at the heart of everything he does. Since his debut collection at Fashion East in 2019, the North East London-born designer has built his brand on blurring the lines between fashion, dance, and athleticism. For his latest project, Nash teamed up with lululemon to create SLNSH, a collection that combines his signature technical garments with the Canadian sportswear giant’s performance expertise.

To celebrate, on Thursday night Nash, lululemon, and Dazed threw a launch party at The Boiler House, kicking off London Fashion Week. Below we broke down everything that happened.

Hosted in the heart of East London, the party was held at the Truman Brewery’s Boiler House. Spread across two floors of the industrial space, as guests entered they were greeted with an installation featuring life-size dancing mannequins sporting the collection.

Entitled ‘SLNSH’, the collection is built around the theme of metamorphosis, drawing inspiration from the way movement transforms the body. Designed for layering and adaptability, the pieces blend Nash’s take on sportswear with lululemon’s technical knowledge of sportswear. With menswear, womenswear, and accessories, the collection marks a natural evolution for Nash, expanding his vision beyond menswear.

Of course, Nash couldn’t throw a party without dance. Movement Director Benjamin Jonsson choreographed a special performance featuring five dancers, including breakdancer and lululemon Ambassador Phil Wizard, all styled in SLNSH. Before the performance, Nash got on the mic to thank lululemon, his collaborators and give a touching speech about the moment. “I just want to say thank you so much for all coming together for this launch, it means the world to me,” he said. “Not many people that have come from where I come from are standing here doing what I am doing. Thank you to everyone who believed in me on this journey.”

Before and after the performance, guests also enjoyed sets by Cktrl and Keyrah who kept the party going.

London’s fashion and music scenes showed up in full force, with a guest list spanning designers, artists, and industry creatives. Among those spotted in the crowd were the likes of Top Boy stars Kano and Michael Ward, Dazed cover star Ayra Starr, alongside Anaïs Gallagher, Bianca Saunders, Elfie Reigate, Danny Lomas, Michaela Stark, Miss Jason, Jeshi, Stephen Isaac Wilson, Say Now and more.

Throughout the night guests had Champagne courtesy of Moët & Chandon, sparkling wine from French Bloom and a selection of cocktails by Tico Tequila, including Spicy Margarita, Black Salt Paloma, Lychee Mint Collins, Ginger Beer Cooler, Genies Soda and Fighter Shot.

Jackson Boxer also curated a selection of canapes including Salt Beef Mini Bagels, Roast Beetroot, Potato Chips and Pastrami-Spiced Beetroot.

SLNSH will be dropping globally on March 11, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled here to get your hands on the collection next month.
