Well, it seems my years of pining were for nothing, because heartthrob Liam Hemsworth is officially engaged to his girlfriend of six years, Aussie model Gabriella Brooks.

29-year-old Brooks, who hails from Sydney, celebrated landing her man with a joyous post on Instagram on Friday, adding a chic white love heart emoji to snaps of her enviably cozying up to the Hunger Games star and showing off her stunning new rock.
If you’ve missed a chapter (I thought he was still in District 12?), Hemsworth and Brooks were first romantically linked in 2019, the same year the actor officially called it off with his ex-wife, pop star Miley Cyrus, after less than a year of marriage.
It wasn’t until years later that the pair actually made their red carpet debut and began speaking about each other publicly. In January of this year, Brooks shared a birthday tribute to Hemsworth, and she elsewhere told Stellar that her relationship is “very sacred to me”.
“I feel like in an industry where so much is put out on show, there are some things you just want to keep to yourself. But he’s great,” Brooks said.
Of her soon-to-be in-laws, Brooks said the Hemsworth family — including fellow actor Luke and Thor himself Chris — are “the most beautiful people and I’m very lucky to know them”.
I’m sure she meant “beautiful” in an overall sense, but it certainly doesn’t hurt that they are also extremely easy on the eyes.

For all those wondering how to manifest yourself a Hemsworth, here’s the lowdown on Brooks: she’s a model who has worked on campaigns for Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein and Valentino, and she splits her time between Australia, Los Angeles and London, per People.
As an extra juicy lil’ nugget, Brooks was previously in a long-term relationship with The 1975 frontman Matty Healy (he’s got quite the dating history!), whom she was first linked to in 2015 before reports of their break up in 2019.
Cyrus, the other half of this equation, also moved on quickly in 2019 after her split from Hemsworth, briefly dating Kaitlynn Carter and Aussie pop star/swimmer Cody Simpson before landing on her current boo, musician Maxx Morando.
Cyrus has yet to comment on her ex’s impending nuptials, but given the whirlwind that was their relationship — from smash hit diss tracks to subtle shade and an ultimate divorce — she’s probably grateful to leave it all in the past.
She can buy herself flowers, after all!
