
A young boy has died in a horror quad bike crash in the Top End.
The boy, aged 11, crashed into a tree while riding on a mango farm in the Darwin River district, south of Berry Springs in the Northern Territory, about 12.50pm on Sunday.
A 38-year-old man was also on the quad at the time of the crash. He was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital with leg injuries.
Police and St John Ambulance paramedics discovered the boy unresponsive and attempted to perform CPR.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police urged anyone with information to come forward.
Major Crash Investigation Unit are examining the incident.
