Russia prepares for “Thunder” exercises

The Strategic Command and Staff Thunder exercise (SCHU) with the participation of all three components of the Russian Strategic Nuclear Forces (SNF) will be held in early 2022.
The TASS news agency said it had no official confirmation of this information yet.

In early December, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced major exercises in 2022, in addition to supplying the country’s army with about 15,000 personnel. In addition, Shoigu said that in 2022, three thousand buildings and structures will be put into operation simultaneously with the supply of new types of weapons and equipment.

Maneuver Thunder includes Strategic Missile Forces, Air Force long-range bombers, and naval nuclear submarine missile carriers.
