A thousand policemen were injured in the riots that erupted in Kazakhstan

The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zumart Tokayev said that during the riots that broke out in Almaty, about a thousand police officers were injured.

“In this city alone, if we talk about the police, I’m told, about a thousand people have been injured,” he said.

It is reported that Tokayev arrived in Almaty, where he met with the families of the killed police officers and participated in a meeting at the city’s operations headquarters.
