Feather noted that app administrations regularly issue notifications of violations, but nothing has changed. The Minister therefore clarified that the matter will be under the control of the Ministry of the Interior, however, the joint decision of European countries is required in this matter.

At the same time, the head of the ministry stressed that the blocking would be an extreme measure, before other options could be tested.

Wieser noted that Telegram’s creator, Pavel Durov, should be concerned that the site “advocates hatred and violence.”

Earlier, the Minister of Justice of the Federal Republic of Germany, Marco Buschmann, stated that Telegram is in violation of German law, which faces fines of millions of dollars.
