Prince Andrew, Duke of York, middle son of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, will face a US trial for sexually assaulting Virginia Joffrey.
, according to the BBC.
Andrew was called to a hearing in the Southern District of New York after the court refused to dismiss the civil lawsuit against him.
Joffrey accuses Prince Andrew of three counts of rape. The first time she was forced to have sex with the prince in the London palace of businessman Ghislaine Maxwell, the second occurred in the mansion of financier Jeffrey Epstein, the third – on his private island.
Joffrey confirmed that she was 17 years old at the time of the crime.
