Nicolas Cage begins filming ‘Renfield’
Universal Studios announced on Twitter that filming has begun in Renfield, a part of Bram Stoker’s Dracula movie.
The film is directed by Chris McKay and cinematographer Mitchell Amundsen.
The main characters in the film will be Renfield, played by Nicholas Hoult, and The Prince of Darkness, played by Nicolas Cage. Also in Renfield are Adrian Martinez, Ben Schwartz, et al.
Renfield’s release date has not been announced.
Renfield is one of the characters in Dracula, written by Stoker in 1897. He is a crazy prisoner who has come to eat living creatures in the hope of gaining their life force. He eats flies, moths and birds and plans to become a follower of Dracula.
