NATO sends 70 fighter planes to Ukraine

Bulgaria, Poland and Slovakia will supply Ukraine with 70 MiG-29 and Su-25 military aircraft; If necessary, they will be able to be stationed at Polish airports.

Bulgaria will send 16 MiG-29 fighters and 14 Su-25 attack aircraft, Poland – 28 MiG-29s, and Slovakia – 12 MiG-29s.

The representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said that the foreign ministers of the European Union decided to provide Ukraine with lethal weapons worth 450 million euros, and the European Union plans to provide military aircraft to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The First Fleet of the German Navy also sent warships to the Baltic Sea to strengthen NATO’s northern flank in connection with the worsening crisis in Ukraine.
