Arteta after Arsenal’s first defeat since January: I don’t think the result reflects the course of the match

Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta explained, after losing to Liverpool (0:2) in the 27th round of the English Championship, the reason for the loss of the Gunners.

“From box to box, we did everything we planned. What happened in the free kicks was a different story, and here we lost. We had two big chances: Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard had scoring chances. When you receive goals like we did, it becomes very difficult to win.

I think the whole team played great. I don’t think the result reflected the tide of the match, but Liverpool had defining moments in the penalty area. Mentally we are ready for the next match. And the BBC quoted Arteta as saying that Saturday’s match against Aston Villa will be very different, but very difficult.
