A famous member of parliament, accused of watching pornographic materials inside the parliament, resigns

Neil Parrish, a member of the British Parliament for the ruling Conservative Party, has resigned after being accused of watching pornography on the phone in the House of Commons.

“We want to thank Neil Parrish for his service to the local community for more than 12 years. We support his decision to step down as a member of the House of Representatives,” a party statement said.

Parrish’s resignation comes amid accusations from the Labor Party that he saw pornography in the country’s parliament building.

The day before, Parrish was temporarily suspended from work. The parliamentarian himself, in an interview with local media, admitted that he had seen pornography in the House of Commons twice: once by chance and the second on purpose.

It was reported earlier that a British government employee, Sue Gray, had prepared a critical report about parties in Downing Street that were held with the participation of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson in violation of anti-COVID restrictions. According to the British edition of The Times, the report was so accusative that it could cost the head of government his post.
