Turkey: The Turkish operation in Syria aims to control 600 km of the border

The newspaper “Turkey”, quoting military and diplomatic sources, reported that Turkey’s new cross-border operation in northern Syria would allow Ankara to control a 600-km strip of the common border.

In addition, this contributes to reducing terrorist threats emanating from neighboring territories, the newspaper notes.

In some areas, the operation, according to the newspaper, will be carried out at a depth of 45 kilometers, which will lead to the “liberation” of 470 Syrian settlements.

According to media reports, controlling the Tel Rifaat and Manbij regions will allow Turkey to establish a 35-kilometer security zone and carry out the strategic mission set by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
