Beach Boys Documentary Coming to Disney+ in May

“The Beach Boys,” a documentary about the iconic band, will premiere on Disney+ on May 24.

The doc is described as “a celebration of the legendary band that revolutionized pop music and the iconic, harmonious sound they created that personified the California dream, captivating fans for generations and generations to come.”

“The Beach Boys” will include never-before-seen footage and new interviews with band members Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, David Marks and Bruce Johnston, as well as music stars like Lindsey Buckingham, Janelle Monáe, Ryan Tedder and Don Was. Former members Carl and Dennis Wilson, Blondie Chaplin and Ricky Fataar are also participating.

Directed by Frank Marshall and Thom Zimny, “The Beach Boys” was written by Mark Monroe and produced by Kennedy/Marshall and White Horse Pictures. Producers include Marshall, Irving Azoff, Nicholas Ferrall, Jeanne Elfant Festa and Aly Parker. Executive producers are Nigel Sinclair, Mark Monroe, Tony Rosenthal, Cassidy Hartmann, Glen Zipper, Thom Zimny, Beth Collins, Jimmy Edwards, Susan Genco, Marc Cimino, Jody Gerson, Bruce Resnikoff and Ben J. Murphy.
