Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, received Mr. Matteo Capro, Resident Director Save the Children and the delegation accompanying him, in the presence of Counselor Mohamed Omar El-Qamari, Legal Advisor to the Ministry of Social Solidarity, and Magdy Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Welfare, where aspects of cooperation between the Ministry and Save the Children were reviewed as one of the partner bodies to support and develop the sponsorship system in light of the vision of the Egyptian state and the Ministry of Social Affairs. Social solidarity.

 

The meeting dealt with cooperation at the training level in raising the efficiency of workers in the sponsorship system in the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, Alexandria, Minya, Assiut, Sohag, and Qena, and the governorates of Luxor and Aswan will be added by the end of the year. In addition to some partner associations working in the field.

 

The Minister of Social Solidarity praised the role played by Save the Children in training on the comprehensive assessment form for families wishing to sponsorship and the mandatory training for these families in In light of the unified curriculum approved by the Ministry, as well as training workers to apply comprehensive evaluation forms, and mechanisms for implementing the standards of the guidelines for local alternative care committees in the governorates, in addition to seeking their opinions  And their participation in the process of developing tools and guides under the supervision and guidance of the Ministry and in partnership with all elements of the system working in this field.

 

The meeting also touched on cooperation between the Ministry of Social Solidarity and Save the Children in relation to Related to the opportunity program for economic empowerment implemented by the Ministry, where the contract between the two sides was reviewed to serve beneficiaries in a number of governorates, where the Authority implemented approximately 683 projects funded by the Ministry, and it also implemented 317 projects funded by it, and the projects were represented in sheep raising and sewing workshops. And production units for fodder production, within the framework of the Forsa program, where there is coordination in preparing for these projects  Selection of beneficiaries and subsequent follow-up.

 

The meeting also discussed aspects of cooperation between the Egyptian Red Crescent and Save the Children in providing care to Palestinian brothers crossing from the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing, as well as the services provided by Their side is for other nationalities coming to Egypt.

 

At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to enhance aspects of cooperation in the services and activities that are being worked on, and to work to improve them during the coming period within the framework of the relationship. The good thing that combines the ministry and the authority.
