Minister of Endowments: We welcome our new republic with the opening of more than eleven thousand and nine hundred mosques to establish and develop.

During his speech at the Ministry of Endowments’ celebration of Laylat al-Qadr and honoring the winners of the 30th International Holy Quran Competition, Dr. Mohamed Mukhtar Gomaa, Minister of Endowments, thanked His Excellency Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, President of the Republic, for honoring the people and memorizers of the Holy Quran.

This is the text of his speech:

Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and may blessings and peace be upon the Seal of His prophets and messengers, our master Muhammad, peace and blessings of God be upon him, and upon all his family and companions.

His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, Honorable Attendance, I am honored to begin. – Mr. President – I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to Your Excellency on assuming a new, well-deserved term in which the Egyptian people said what they had not said before, asking God (Almighty and Majestic) to make it a state of goodness and blessing for Egypt and all its people, and to reward you with the best reward for what you have done and are offering to serve your religion. And your country, in which the construction of the houses of God (Almighty and Majestic) witnessed an unprecedented renaissance during your reign, we ask God (Almighty) that it be in the balance of your good deeds on the Day of Resurrection.

I am also pleased to congratulate your Excellency on your unanimous victory of the Parliament of Nations Award. Mediterranean Sea for the year two thousand and twenty-four, entitled: “Champion of Peace,” stressing that the most powerful and courageous people are the ones capable of making true peace. True peace is the one that has a rational force to protect it, and this is the case of our dear Egypt under your wise leadership. And after:  So I summarize my talk in two points: The first: about the Noble Qur’an, that is the Mighty Book which the Truth, Glory be to Him, revealed to our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him) on the Night of Decree. God Almighty says: “And it is a Mighty Book to which falsehood cannot come from before it or from behind it. “From the Wise, the Praiseworthy.” And God Almighty says: “God has sent down the best of hadith, a book similar to each other, from which the skins of those who fear their Lord shiver, then their skins and hearts soften.” Until the remembrance of God. This is God’s guidance. He guides thereby whom He wills.

With an explanation that the true fruit of memorizing and reciting the Noble Qur’an lies in its good understanding and contemplation, good action upon it, and the extent of our commitment to its morals and teachings, as God Almighty says: “Has not the time come for those who have believed that their hearts should submit to the remembrance of God? And what has been sent down of the truth.” And God Almighty says: “The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, are fearful in their hearts, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases their faith and They put their trust in their Lord.”

So we made understanding the purposes and meanings of the Holy Qur’an an integral part of the global competition. For the Holy Quran and all our Qur’anic competitions. As for the second point: about the extent to which piety is achieved, which is the goal of fasting in our souls, as God Almighty says: “O you who have believed, fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you that you may become righteous.” The true fasting person does not lie or deceive. It is neither monopolized nor exploited He eats fornication, but he does not fast and does not benefit from the fasting of one who abstains from food and drink throughout the day and does not abstain from illicit wealth, harm to people, backbiting, or lying. Our Prophet (peace be upon him) says: “Whoever does not give up false speech and acting upon it, God has no need for him to give up his food.” “And drink it.” The religion is treatment, the religion is good behavior, and whoever excels you in morals, increases you in religion.

In conclusion: I say good news – Mr. President – as we welcome our new republic with the opening of more than eleven thousand and nine hundred mosques to be established and developed. In your auspicious era, we have prepared more than one hundred and fifty thousand mosques for the kneeling and prostrating, as a form of worship, recitation and prayer for the Beloved (peace be upon him), in which the name of God is mentioned throughout the night and the ends of the day. We also receive it with more than four hundred scientific, advocacy and educational publications in a renewal discourse that combines understanding of the objectives of the Qur’an and Sunnah and taking into account the jurisprudence of reality, and with an elite group of imams and preachers whom you – Your Excellency – have entrusted with honor, follow-up and guidance, and we have instilled in them training and education with sound understanding, so they have filled the world with knowledge, jurisprudence and moderation inside and outside Egypt. With the testimony of people far and wide in the whole world.  And if the Umayyad poet Al-Farazdaq had said: These are my fathers, so bring me someone like them. If you gather us together, O Jarir Al-Majma’, then you, Mr. President, can be proud of what you have done and have done, and let your people say: These are my sons – the sons of Egypt, including its imams and preachers – so bring me someone like them. If you gather us, O Jarir Al-Majma’, then all thanks and appreciation are due to you, Your Excellency. For the care and attention you have given to rational religious discourse.

Allow me, Mr. President, to have the honor of gifting you a copy of the "Encyclopedia of Vision" Which is issued in cooperation between the Ministry of Endowments and the Egyptian General Book Authority, which summarizes some of our publications in the field of renewing religious discourse.
