Mufti of the Republic: Islam guarantees women their right to inheritance and prohibits consuming it unlawfully

 Dr. Shawqi Allam – Mufti of the Republic, Head of the General Secretariat of Fatwa Houses and Bodies in the World, said: The meanings of mercy, such as purity of metal, sublimity of spirit, and nobility of character, have reached their highest level in the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. Where his virtues were completed and his virtues matured; It was a manifestation of God Almighty’s mercy to all of creation. God Almighty said: “And We have not sent you except as a mercy to the worlds.” [الأنبياء: 107]

It requires the people of Islam to be admirable to it and its manifestations and to stay away from its opposites, such as harshness, tyranny, violence, and dryness of feelings. In compliance with the words of the Messenger of Mercy, peace and blessings of God be upon him: “The merciful will be merciful to the Most Merciful, be merciful to those on earth and those in heaven will have mercy on you.”

His Eminence the Mufti also spoke about the Muslims’ practical translation of the value of mercy, and how they transformed it into an integrated system that they applied in Various aspects of life : in the family and society, and in hospitals, as well as in establishing endowments for humans and animals.

His Eminence stressed that the noble Sharia did not limit itself to imposing zakat, but rather expanded the means of spending and diversified the doors of solidarity and cooperation in goodness and righteousness, so he encouraged donations and desired Gifts, prayers, and charity.

His Eminence stressed that the endowment in Islam is a closeness to God Almighty, and it is a project and its legitimacy comes in order for these assets and funds to be endowed individually or collectively to be spent on charitable projects, and the Egyptian experience in “endowment” It was a pioneering and inspiring experience for the West. The West benefited from it by endowring some funds and assets to universities and sponsoring scientific research to advance society.

His Eminence the Mufti concluded his dialogue by emphasizing that depriving women of inheritance has several legal warnings; Among them: It is considered a form of denying the rights of the servants that God Almighty has given them, in addition to the fact that dividing the inheritance according to Sharia is all good; Because God Almighty, in His mercy, justice, and wisdom, is the one who divided it, and He began the verses of inheritance with the commandment to children. Because He is more merciful to us than to ourselves.
