Suspect in attack on Russian embassy detained in Vilnius

A suspect in the attack on the Russian embassy was detained in Vilnius, reports Delfi portal. They tried to set fire to the embassy building twice.

According to the publication, the suspect, born in 1974, “has already come to the attention of the police” – other details are not provided. Law enforcement agencies are conducting an investigation into damage to property in a manner dangerous to the public. The suspect faces a fine, restriction of freedom, arrest or imprisonment for up to 5 years.

On April 7 and 8, an unknown person threw Molotov cocktails at the embassy building, causing damage to the wall.
