"Camel" Warns users in 92 countries about "Spyware attack"
New Delhi, April 11, 2018 (WAM) – Apple has warned its users in India and 91 other countries that they may be potential victims of a “spyware attack,” based on a notification of a potential threat it sent to targeted users via email.
Apple said in the notification that the company discovered that attackers attempted to hack iPhones remotely. According to the notice, attacks carried out by hackers with spyware are rare and more sophisticated than regular cybercrime or malware activities.
The notification stated that the iPhone manufacturer sends such notifications of a potential threat several times a year since 2021 and that it has notified users in more than 150 countries in total so far.
