Nearly 30 years ago, a 90-minute police chase started that would grip America and the entire world.

Two days after the fatal stabbing on June 14, 1994, O.J. led the police on a 90-minute-long low-speed car pursuit in his friend’s white Ford Bronco.

The infamous car chase saw driver Al Cowlings carry fugitive murder suspect O.J. Simpson down the 405 freeway in Low Angeles, California, as Americans were glued to their TV screens watching the standoff.

The fugitive huddled in the back seat of his Cowlings’ Bronco with a gun to his head while the police, media and fans followed after him – like a parade on the freeway.

Jenner, 74, – whose ex-wife Kris Jenner was a close friend of OJ Simpson and his late wife Nicole – posted the reaction X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday to her 3.3million followers.

The notorious murder suspect, who was later found civilly liable for the deaths of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman passed away aged 76 at his home in Las Vegas on Wednesday night, following a short battle with prostate cancer.

After Simpson was charged with the deaths of Brown and Goldman, who were found brutally stabbed to death outside her Los Angeles home, he refused to turn himself in.

He then led cops on a low speed car chase, which millions tuned in to watch.

The pursuit, which lasted 90 minutes between cops and Simpson’s white Bronco across southern California, ended in his eventual arrest in Brentwood.

At trial, prosecutors argued Simpson was linked to the crime scene through forensic evidence, but he ultimately walked free with jurors voting to acquit him.

Commentators at the time agreed that the defense led by Robert Kardashian relied heavily on anger around racial bias historically shown by the LAPD.

In February he took to social media to deny the hospice rumors, but did not reference the Local 10 News report that he is undergoing treatment for cancer.

In a clip posted to his 870,000 followers on X, he can be seen sitting in his car, telling the camera: ‘Hospice? Hospice? You talking about hospice,’ before bursting into laughter.

‘I don’t know who put that out there… like The Donald [Trump] say, you can’t trust the media! In any event, I’m hosting a ton of friends for the Super Bowl here in Las Vegas, and all is well. So hey guys, take care, and have a good Super Bowl weekend.’

‘The math just does not add up,’ said Simpson, who spent nine years behind bars after he tried to steal sports memorabilia from a Las Vegas hotel room with a gun in September 2007.

‘I know I went to college on a football scholarship but somehow this math is not adding up to me,’ he added.

It has been revealed that OJ died from prostate cancer.

The football star announced he was diagnosed with prostate cancer just two months ago, suggesting the cancer was late stage.

Prostate cancer is the second-most common form of cancer in men, just behind skin cancer.

Experts estimate that it will strike 300,000 American men this year and kill more than 35,000, most of whom are over age 65 – and the American Cancer Society (ACS) says rates are rising about three percent every year.

Additionally, healthcare providers warn the disease can be difficult to spot, as it often causes no symptoms at first. The signs typically mirror that of an enlarged prostate, which tends to affect older men.

This could lead to it spreading quickly to the bones and organs such as the lymph nodes, lungs, liver, and brain.

Brown was found brutally stabbed to death outside her Los Angeles home along with friend Ron Goldman (pictured below) who was also killed.

Despite a successful NFL career, Simpson was best known for his acquittal following the high-profile murder trial in 1995, dubbed the ‘Trial of the Century’.

The circumstances around his arrest were equally salacious, with Simpson leading cops on a low speed chase.

Millions tuned in to watch the 90 minute pursuit between cops and Simpson’s white Bronco across southern California before his eventual arrest in Brentwood.

Simpson was wanted in connection with the deaths of Brown and Goldman, who were found brutally stabbed to death outside her Los Angeles home.

Simpson became one of the most infamous figures in America after he was charged with murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman in 1994.

He faced further legal troubles when he was sentenced to nine to 33 years behind bars for armed robbery in Nevada in 2008.

It was previously reported that Simpson was battling prostate cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy.

An X post shared on his official account by his family said: ‘On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer.

‘He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

‘During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace. -The Simpson Family.’
