The report also reported the success of the quarantine in opening the Canadian market to Egypt’s exports of fresh strawberries for the first time, as all procedures for opening Canada’s markets to strawberry exports were completed and all Technical requirements for the Canadian side, which enhances the agricultural sector’s contribution to the Egyptian national income, and the necessary measures are being taken to continue opening other international markets to agricultural products. It is worth noting that Mr. Al-Quseir, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, had announced that Egyptian agricultural exports exceeded 2.2 million tons of agricultural products worth about 1.5 billion dollars during the first quarter of this year, an increase of 300 million. dollars for the same period of the previous year, despite global and regional conditions that affect supply chains, as well as the Egyptian state stopping the export of some agricultural products to support the local market.
