Saudi Arabia expresses its concern about the military escalation in the region and the seriousness of its repercussions

RIYADH, April 13, 2017 (WAM) – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed its deep concern over the developments of the military escalation in the region and the seriousness of its repercussions, calling on all parties to exercise the utmost levels of restraint and spare the region and its people from the dangers of war.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the Kingdom’s position calling for the need for the Security Council to assume its responsibility towards maintaining international peace and security, especially in this region that is extremely sensitive to global peace and security, and to prevent the escalation of the crisis that will have serious consequences if it expands.
