Idris: We expect Egypt to win more than 7 medals at the Paris Olympics

The Egyptian Olympic Committee, headed by Engineer Yasser Idris, held a press conference to reveal the preparations for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, in the presence of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Eric Chevalier, the French Ambassador to Cairo, Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa, Chairman of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, and the heads of the Egyptian sports federations. And a number of players qualified for the upcoming Olympics.

 

Engineer Yasser Idris, President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, welcomed Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa, Chairman of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, the French Ambassador, and the heads of the Olympic federations. The President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee thanked Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, for the continuous and ongoing support for the development of Egyptian sports, which has already been achieved on the ground. And its fruits have begun to be reaped.

 

Engineer Yasser Idris continued that during the period from the sixties to the eighties of the last century, we did not achieve Olympic medals, and after that, there was a strong move towards the podiums   The results of this were demonstrated in the last Olympic session, which is considered a success for the Egyptian Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, represented by Dr. Ashraf Sobhi.

 

The President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee said on the sidelines of the conference: After Studies submitted by the federations expect the Egyptian champions to win between 7 and 11 medals at the Paris Olympics.
