Prime Minister of India: The economic corridor with the Middle East and Europe will be similar to the Silk Road

   Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi confirmed that the economic corridor between India, the Middle East and Europe, on which an agreement was reached during the G20 summit in India last year, will be similar to the “Silk Road”. Which was linking China and Europe, and that it would lead to a major change in the “rules of the game” …according to his description.

 

The Indian Prime Minister said, in statements published today, Tuesday, that despite the frequency of speculation in some circles about the difficulty of reaching a result in this regard, given the differences between Positions regarding the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, but he was able to move forward towards reaching a declaration that received a unanimous consensus that raised eyebrows during the G20 summit.

He added: “The Gulf countries played a positive role on the issue of the economic corridor that passes between India and the Middle East.” And Europe, Europe has also supported India on this matter because we are working for the global good.”  He continued: “India had the opportunity to play a good role, and the United States and Europe stood with us, and everyone believed that we would achieve a positive and tangible result.” …stressing that the G20 summit led to the establishment of a comprehensive framework to enhance cooperation among the member states of the group.

The Indian Prime Minister indicated that his government is making efforts to improve relations with India’s neighboring countries, within the framework of a policy Good neighborliness is given priority, in addition to its pursuit of eastward policies.
