Ukrainian intelligence: Mi-8 helicopter destroyed in Russia

Ukrainian intelligence confirmed today, Wednesday, that a Mi-8 transport helicopter was destroyed at the Kryaz Air Base in the Russian city of Samara.

 

The Ukrainian news agency (Ukrinform) reported that The official Military Intelligence Agency said, “On April 17, 2024, a Mi-8 transport helicopter was destroyed at the Karayag air base in the city of Samara,” noting that Russian forces used the helicopter “in the war against Ukraine to transport weapons and personnel.”

 

She added that a helicopter of this type may cost between 10 to 15 million dollars.

 

< p>On the other hand, the head of the regional military administration of the Ukrainian Chernihiv region, Vyacheslav Chaos, announced today that the death toll from the Russian missile strike on the city of Chernihiv reached 9 people, while more than 20 other people were injured.

 

Ukrinform reported that Oleksandr Lomako, acting mayor of Chernihiv, had previously announced that at 09:03 a.m. three explosions occurred in a densely populated area of ​​the city.

 

Lomaco added that an 8-storey building was damaged by the explosions, noting that those injured in the explosion are now receiving treatment in city hospitals.
