The Health Care Authority, headed by Dr. Ahmed Al -Subki, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority, the General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Amen project, announced the achievements of comprehensive health insurance in the governorates of the Canal Region & LDQUO; Port Said, Ismailia, South Sinai, Suez & RDQUO; in conjunction with the completion of the first phase of comprehensive health insurance with the start of the system from Aswan Governorate officially at the beginning of the financial year 2026/2025.

The Health Care Authority explained that about 2.6 million citizens from the provinces of the four channels were registered within the comprehensive health insurance system, while the cost of operating the system in the governorates of (Port Said, Ismailia, South Sinai, Suez) exceeded 26 billion pounds.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Al -Sobky pointed to the total medical and therapeutic services provided in the same governorates, which amounted to 43 million medical and treatment services through 157 therapeutic facilities belonging to the Care Authority in those governorates, including 22 million services in Port Said Governorate, 16 million services in Ismailia Governorate, 2.5 million services in South Sinai Governorate, in addition to 2.5 million services in the Suez Governorate.
The head of the Welfare Authority continued: The operating cost of the comprehensive health insurance system in the governorates of the Canal region is more than 26 billion pounds so far, reflecting the state’s commitment to providing integrated and high -quality health services to all citizens, especially in the most needy governorates.
In the same context, Dr. Ahmed Al -Sobky pointed out that the authority has a strong medical infrastructure in the governorates of the Canal region, where the capacity of 23 hospitals and 4 medical complexes belonging to the authority in the region are about 2364 beds, including 36% for concentrated sponsorship services and nurseries, which is one of the highest rates at the level of the Republic, and reflects the authority’s interest in providing critical medical care and specialized in international standards. Dir ="RTL"> Al -Subki explained that the centers and family medicine units of the authority in the provinces of the four channel region have provided more than 23 million health services so far, through 130 centers and family medicine unit, operating according to the latest international standards in primary health care, in a way that contributes to enhancing the concept of family medicine as the basic pillar to achieve comprehensive health coverage and disease prevention.
He said: 1.8 million comprehensive medical examinations were conducted for comprehensive health insurance beneficiaries for comprehensive health insurance beneficiaries in the governorates of (Port Said, Ismailia, South Sinai, Suez), while 137 medical facilities were approved according to the different accreditation degrees, according to the standards of the General Authority for Accreditation and Health Control (GAHAR), which are recognized by the International ESKUA.
The head of the commission confirmed that the authority has achieved a prominent achievement and a qualitative boom in digital transformation, so we have a complete mechanization for initial care facilities by 100% with the channel’s dumping facilities, in addition to 90% of the authority’s hospitals and the channel region.
With regard to the quality of the services provided and the satisfaction of the beneficiaries, he said: The percentage of beneficiaries satisfied with the health services provided in the facilities of the Health Care Authority in the governorates of the channel region 90%, which reflects the efforts made to ensure the provision of high -quality health services that are in line with the highest international standards and meet the needs of citizens effectively in the facilities of the Health Care Authority in the governorates of comprehensive health insurance.
