Season four of everybody’s favourite feel-good comedy Ted Lasso is back in production, bringing imminent joy and whimsy back to the lives of the Apple TV+ series fans around the world. While most of the key players in the sitcom are returning to set (thank god), there has been one cheeky recast in the mix.
Here’s what we can expect in season four.
Which cast members are returning to Ted Lasso season 4?
Let’s start with the good. Of course, the moustachioed man at the helm of the series, Jason Sudeikis, is returning as the soccer coach with a heart of gold, Ted Lasso. He’s also the co-creator and executive producer, so it would be a bit wild if he said ciao and fucked right off.

He’s joined by fan favourites and original cast members Hannah Waddingham as Rebecca Welton and Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent.

Plus, Juno Temple, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift will be returning to their roles of Keeley Jones, Coach Beard and Leslie Higgins, respectively.

There are also a bunch of new cast members joining the team, including Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey and Abbie Hern.
We love fresh new faces!!!!
Who isn’t returning to Ted Lasso season 4?
Although most of the original cast members have signed up for season four, there has been a change in the actor playing Ted’s son Henry. In seasons one to three, Gus Turner played the role, but for season four, fellow child actor Grant Feely will be recast in the role.
According to Yahoo!, production was seeking to recast the role of Henry with an actor who had some serious soccer skills, as we might see Henry bend it like Beckham this season.

What is the plot of Ted Lasso season 4?
Season four of Ted Lasso picks up right where season three wrapped. According to the official season four description, Ted is returning to Richmond after his trip back to Kansas, but this time around, he’s going to be coaching a second division women’s football team.
With so many returning characters and beloved storylines, we’re sure to be in for a treat.

When does Ted Lasso season 4 drop?
While there has not been any official confirmation on when the series will drop, I’m guessing it’ll hit our screens during the second half of 2026. After all, production on the upcoming series has only just begun.
