Nearly 5,000 fans packed into the convention center’s Ballroom 20 for the panel moderated by Janet Varney, the voice of Korra, who was joined by much of the original voice cast including Zach Tyler Eisen (Aang), Jack De Sena (Sokka), Michaela Jill Murphy (Toph), Jennie Kwan (Suki), Dante Basco (Zuko), and Dee Bradley Baker (Appa). Series composer Jeremy Zuckerman and creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino were also there for the fun.

Though Mae Whitman, the voice of Katara, couldn’t be there in person, attendees were treated to a heartfelt video message from the actress expressing her sentiments about being part of such an enduring franchise.

And as if that weren’t enough surprised, audiences also got to see the original voice cast bring their characters to life once again via table reads from three of Varney’s favorite Avatar episodes: “The Serpent’s Pass / Appa’s Lost Days,” “The Western Air Temple” and “Sozin’s Comet, Part 4: Avatar Aang.”
