Health participates in a session "Children and adolescents" At the global ministerial summit for mental health in Qatar

The Ministry of Health and Population participated in the activities of the sixth ministerial global summit for mental health in the State of Qatar, through the Central Administration for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, in the presence of officials, experts and decision -makers from different countries of the world, with the aim of discussing strategies to enhance mental health services at the international level. The summit reflects the state’s commitment to developing the mental health system and addiction treatment, and exchanging experiences with international institutions to raise the quality of services provided to citizens. The Secretariat initiatives, such as integrating mental health programs in schools, activating parents’ training programs to support children with autism spectrum disorder, and enhancing youth participation in formulating health policies, while enabling young groups in this field. During it, Dr. Raghda Al -Jameel, Director of the Department, presented a comprehensive presentation on the efforts of the Secretariat in developing addiction treatment services according to international standards, and updating the treatment programs based on scientific evidence, taking advantage of the data of the National Observatory for Addiction to develop accurate and comprehensive policies. Integrated health care that respects human rights and promotes the quality of life.
