The Prime Minister witnesses the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Egypt and Qatar for cooperation in the health field

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, witnessed today; At the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Health and Population of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Ministry of Public Health of the State of Qatar, with the aim of supporting and enhancing bilateral cooperation in the health field, in the presence of Tariq Ali Farag Al Ansari, Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Cairo, and Ambassador Ihab Fahmy, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Arab Affairs.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, And Mansour bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, Minister of Public Health of the State of Qatar.

The signing of this memorandum comes within the framework of the historical relations between Egypt and Qatar, and the common keenness to support and enhance aspects of cooperation in many sectors and fields, with a focus on exchanging experiences in the health field, in a way that ensures the provision of the best medical and pharmaceutical services to the peoples of the two countries.

The memorandum of understanding aims at joint cooperation between the two countries. The two brothers in the field of public health and medical sciences, including cooperation in the areas of developing, planning and implementing health care systems, taking advantage of modern technologies, as well as exchanging experiences and qualifying medical and paramedical staff in various specialties, in accordance with the latest global protocols and advanced technologies, in addition to cooperation in the field of mutual food to reduce the risks of foodborne diseases, and developing frameworks to ensure the highest levels of food safety, in addition to Facilitating commercial activity in this field and exchanging expertise in laboratory analyses, in addition to enhancing cooperation in the field of public health, qualifying and improving the quality and safety of patients.

The memorandum of understanding indicated that aspects of joint cooperation in the health field will be implemented through a group of different mechanisms, including sending experts and delegations between the two countries to exchange experiences, information and good health practices, and enhancing the participation of experts in conferences and events held in Both countries, in addition to holding virtual or actual training courses to develop capabilities.
