The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced today the result of the public electronic lottery for the tourist Hajj for this year’s season 1447 AH / 2026 AD, which was conducted at the Ministry’s headquarters in the new capital, in accordance with what was approved by the controls, rules and procedures regulating the tourist Hajj and approved by Sherif Fathi, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities. The lottery was conducted electronically through the unified Egyptian portal for Hajj.
A number of members of the Supreme Committee for Hajj and Umrah participated in the audience, and representatives of the Central Administration of Tourism Companies in the Ministry, the Egyptian Federation of Tourist Chambers, the Chamber of Travel and Tourism Companies and Agencies, and the Ministry of Interior represented in the Administrative Affairs Sector.
For her part, Samia Sami, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Tourism Company Affairs and Head of the Supreme Committee, explained For Hajj and Umrah, the number of applicants for the tourist Hajj lottery this season reached 114,604 citizens, an increase of 97% over last season, including 51,028 male applicants, representing 45%, and 63,577, representing 55% females. For the economic tourist Hajj, 87,241 citizens applied, representing 76% of the total applicants, and the number of applicants for the land Hajj was 15,326 citizens, representing 13% of the total applicants. The number of applicants for the five-star Hajj – Kadanah Towers reached 2,864 citizens, representing 3% of the total applicants.
Samia Sami confirmed that this unprecedented number of applicants for the tourist Hajj lottery reflects the citizen’s confidence in the tourist Hajj system, especially in light of the distinguished implementation and organization provided by tourism companies for the tourist Hajj programs during the season. She indicated that the total number of companies that submitted their desires to organize the tourist Hajj this season and listed their requests on the unified Hajj portal is 1,743 tourism companies, including 1,253 companies that listed requests for the economic level, 221 companies that listed requests for land Hajj, 207 companies that listed requests for the five-star level, and 62 companies that listed requests for the five-star level. – Kadanah Towers.
She indicated that out of the Egyptian state’s keenness and in light of the directives of the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities regarding the necessity of taking into account the various segments of society and enhancing the opportunities for citizens to obtain tourist Hajj visas, the largest percentage of visas was allocated to the economic and land levels.
17,060 visas were allocated to the economic level, And 5,700 visas were allocated for the land level, and 5,000 visas were allocated for the five-star level, in addition to 2,740 visas for the five-star level – Kadanah Towers.
She referred to the five-star program – Kidana Towers, which was introduced for the first time this year, through which tourism pilgrims can stay inside towers instead of camps in Mina, while providing a comprehensive hotel benefits package.
