The President of the Supreme Constitutional Court stresses the need to strengthen cooperation between judicial and parliamentary bodies
Counselor Issam Farid, President of the Senate, received today, at the Senate’s headquarters, Counselor Boulos Fahmy Iskandar, President The Supreme Constitutional Court.
At the beginning of the meeting, Counselor Boulos Fahmy congratulated Counselor Essam Farid; On the occasion of his assumption of the position of President of the Senate, he expressed his sincere wishes for success in performing his duties during the next stage.
During the visit, Paul emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional cooperation between judicial and parliamentary bodies, in a way that contributes to supporting the rule of law and consolidating the foundations of national action.
For his part, the President of the Senate expressed his appreciation for this visit, stressing his pride in the pioneering role played. The Supreme Constitutional Court is responsible for protecting the constitution and consolidating the principles of justice and the rule of law.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Counselor Issam Farid confirmed the continuation of coordination and exchange of visions between the two sides, in a way that serves the public interest and supports national state institutions.
The meeting was attended by Major General Ahmed Al-Awadi and Representative Faris Saad Fam, representatives of the Council, Counselor Dr. Ahmed Abdel Ghani, Secretary-General of the Council, and Counselor Amr Yousry, legal advisor to the President of the Council.
