It launches the day after tomorrow "Monday" The second phase of the House of Representatives elections inside the country, which are conducted under the supervision of judicial body advisors, and continue over two consecutive days amid follow-up by various civil society organizations and local and international media.
The second phase of the parliamentary elections includes 13 governorates, namely: Cairo, Qalyubia, Dakahlia, Menoufia, Gharbia, Kafr El-Sheikh, Sharkia, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai, and South Sinai. Sinai.
The number of voters who are entitled to cast their votes in the second phase of the House of Representatives elections is approximately 35 million voters, distributed among 73 electoral districts that include 5,287 sub-polling committees, while the number of candidates running in the competition under the individual system in this phase is 1,316 candidates, competing for 141 individual seats, in addition to one list for the two electoral sectors under the system. Lists.
The advisors of the State Cases Authority and the Administrative Prosecution Authority chair the sub-polling committees that are distributed among the governorates of the second phase, where voting operations will begin at nine in the morning and continue until nine in the evening over the two voting days.
The National Elections Authority stressed to all parties to the electoral process the need to strictly adhere to the controls for electoral propaganda issued by the Authority, especially the period "Propaganda silence" In which all candidates and political parties are prohibited from conducting any electoral propaganda work, in addition to prohibiting any form of propaganda or influencing the will of voters in front of the polling station headquarters, warning that it will take all necessary legal measures regarding this matter, which may lead to the invalidation of the polling sub-committee that witnesses this type of violation. to their constitutional right to vote, especially the elderly and people with special needs, by identifying most of the sub-polling committees on the ground floors of the electoral centers, and providing the centers with information boards that include a quick response code (QR code), where the voter can scan them via mobile phone to obtain additional information regarding voting controls and mechanisms, in addition to awareness materials on the mechanisms for expressing opinion, in order to facilitate the process of voting. Ballot.
The National Elections Authority also provided the ballot card in the sign alphabet, in order to enhance the knowledge of people with hearing disabilities about the electoral process, in addition to the presence of a card in Braille. Designed for people with visual disabilities, it includes electoral instructions that facilitate the voting process for them, as well as placing a note on each ballot card about the number of seats required to be chosen in each electoral district, to enable citizens to cast the electoral vote correctly, and so that the electoral vote is not invalidated if a number less or more than the required number is chosen.
The electoral process is carried out under the follow-up of the missions of many international organizations, most notably: the League of Arab States, the African Union, The Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Arab Organization for Electoral Administrations, and the Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly, in addition to local civil society organizations and local, Arab and international media.
