
The President of Kafrelsheikh University, Dr. Ismail Ibrahim, and the University Council congratulated the colleges that topped a number of specializations in the Shanghai International Classification for the year 2025, stressing that this progress reflects the university’s vision in supporting academic excellence and scientific research and enhancing its competitiveness regionally and internationally. He also congratulated the colleges that won the Government Excellence Award.
During his presidency of the monthly Kafrelsheikh University Council meeting, today, Tuesday, Dr. Ismail Ibrahim congratulated the deans. The winning colleges in the Government Excellence Award this year, where the College of Agriculture came in first place, the College of Pharmacy in second place, and the College of Engineering won third place, praising the efforts of the work teams within the colleges, stressing that the system of excellence has become a strategic approach within the university, wishing all the university colleges to win in the upcoming sessions.
The University Council agreed to appoint 3 professors and 4 with the rank of assistant professor, appoint 5 teachers, and grant degrees. Master’s degrees were awarded to 43 researchers, doctoral degrees were granted to 17 researchers, professional master’s degrees were granted to 25 researchers, and professional doctorate degrees were granted to 6 researchers. The Council reviewed a number of topics related to the development of the educational process in all sectors, performance reports in colleges and institutes, the position of examinations and preparations for the first semester, in addition to following up on research plans, supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, and enhancing training programs for students.
The members of the University Council discussed what has been accomplished in the sectors of community service and environmental development, digital transformation files, administrative development, and support for student projects, stressing that the university will continue to implement its comprehensive plan to improve the educational system. And research and service in a way that meets the needs of the local community and is in line with the state’s strategy for sustainable development.
Within the context of discussing topics in the graduate studies and research sector, the Council discussed efforts to support researchers, encourage scientific publishing in international journals, and increase the number of applied research related to the needs of the local community and industry, in implementation of the state’s strategy to support innovation and link scientific research to sustainable development.
The Council also discussed a number of academic and administrative topics, including the development of study programs. According to the requirements of the labor market, and to support interdisciplinary programs and modern specializations in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital transformation, renewable energy, and biotechnology, in a way that enhances the competitiveness of university graduates locally and regionally.
Dr. Ismail Ibrahim stressed that the University Council is working in a team spirit in order to support the comprehensive development process witnessed by Kafrelsheikh University, pointing out that the university has achieved in recent years a qualitative leap in local and international classifications, which reflects the quality of academic and research performance.
The University President thanked the council members for their continued efforts, calling on everyone to continue working in a spirit of cooperation and responsibility to preserve the achievements achieved, and to continue providing distinguished educational, research and community services, stressing that the university is continuing on its path towards excellence and leadership, in support of Egypt’s 2030 vision in building people and achieving sustainable development.
