Egypt confirms its continued efforts to coordinate with the concerned parties to stabilize the ceasefire in Gaza
The Arab Republic of Egypt affirmed its continued endeavor to coordinate and consult with the mediators and other concerned parties in order to ensure the establishment of the ceasefire in Gaza and work to move to the second phase of the agreement, leading to the start of providing early recovery services and the start of reconstruction as soon as possible.
This came in Egypt’s speech delivered by Counselor Ihab Irfan, representative of the Palestine Administration at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the 114th session of the Conference of Supervisors of the Gaza Strip. He pointed out The current period is witnessing various challenges. The Palestinian people in Gaza are still lacking the most basic necessities of life and are exposed to tragic circumstances that make their steadfastness on their land legendary. As for the West Bank, the Israeli occupation authorities are sponsoring settler violence, annihilating lands, and restricting the means of decent living for the Palestinian people. Israeli policies also seek to separate the West Bank from each other and make movement between its various regions an ongoing daily nightmare.
He went on to say: “As for Al-Aqsa Al-Sharif, it has become subject to repeated incursions that threaten the status quo and undermine what has been established by customs and laws, seeking to create a new situation that will inevitably lead to chaos and the incitement of conflict.
He noted that in light of these stifling circumstances, the Palestinian Authority is exposed to systematic attacks aimed at stifling it and ending its existence, pointing out that in the face of these complex situations, coordinating Arab positions becomes doubly important, as it does not Adequate support must be provided to the Palestinian Authority so that it can carry out its tasks and duties. In the same context, all forms of support should also be provided to UNRWA in providing services to Palestinian refugees in the five areas of operations.
At the end of his speech, he directed a greeting of respect and appreciation to the heroic Palestinian people, encouraging their exceptional steadfastness in the face of all these difficulties, stressing that Egypt will continue to provide everything necessary to help the Palestinian people achieve their legitimate dream of establishing their independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital on the lines of June 4, 1967.
