
A telephone call took place today, Thursday, between Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, and His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly United Arab Emirates, within the framework of continuous communication and coordination between the two brotherly countries on ways to enhance bilateral relations and regional issues of common interest.
The two ministers affirmed during the call their pride in the depth and strength of the historical relations that bring together Egypt and the Emirates, and the tangible development it is witnessing in various fields, especially economic and investment. Minister Abdel-Ati stressed the keenness to continue strengthening the joint economic partnership, praising the ongoing joint projects and the mutual desire they reflect to support economic and investment relations between the two countries.
Minister Abdel-Aty reviewed the ongoing Egyptian efforts to consolidate the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Agreement and implement all its provisions, pointing to the ongoing preparations for holding the international conference for early recovery and reconstruction of Gaza with the aim of mobilizing regional and international efforts to support the brotherly Palestinian people and alleviate their human suffering.
The two ministers also discussed developments in the situation in Sudan within the framework of the efforts undertaken by them. The International Quartet agreed to continue coordination and consultation between Cairo and Abu Dhabi during the next phase in support of achieving security and stability in the region.
