“Almaz-Ante” company doubled the production of air defense systems S-350 “Viaga” and S-400 “Triumph”
The Russian company “Almaz-Ante” announces the doubling of the production of the S-350 “Viaga” and S-400 “Triumph” by 2025, to enhance Russia’s capabilities to confront ghosts, ballistic missiles and cruise missiles.
Arab Defense website-September 22, 2025: The Russian Air Defense Company, “Almaz-Ante”, announced that it is in the process of doubling the production of the S-350 “Vision” and S-400 “Triumph” by 2025, as part of the expansion of its production facilities.
A statement to the company stated that “the operation of the new production facility allowed the company not only to hand over some equipment to the forces before the scheduled date, but also double the production of a number of products and increase the pace of manufacture of other missile systems.”
She added that the production of technical equipment for the S-350 and S-400 system has doubled more than twice during the past year, noting that it also succeeded in introducing new missile weapons to the quantitative production stage.
Russian Air Defense systems S-300 and S-400 are among the most prominent long-range systems, designed to protect the airspace from various threats that include fighters, offensive aircraft, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles.
The S-300 (NATO symbolic name: SA-10 GRUBLE) appeared in the Soviet era and entered the service in 1979, while the S-400 (NATO symbolic name: SA-21 Growler) came as an advanced development, and was entered into service in 2007 in the Russian Federation, and is considered today one of the most advanced air defense systems in the world.
The S-350 “Fateh” entered the active service in the Russian army in 2020, after it was developed as a more advanced and flexible alternative to the S-300p system, with a focus on confronting modern aircraft, cruise missiles and drones, in addition to its ability to work in integration with the latest air defense systems such as the S-400.
The most important characteristic of S-400 is its ability to use several types of missiles with a different range, including long-range missiles of up to 400 km, which gives them high flexibility in the face of multiple threats. You can also deal with goals at very low and even very high altitudes.
The system is designed to intercept ghost planes, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles, and it is characterized by improved capabilities to track multiple targets, as it can follow up to 300 goals at the same time, and engage with 36 goals in conjunction.
The system of the system is one of the most prominent points of its superiority, with its ability to detect goals to a range of 600 km, in addition to its high resistance to electronic warfare. The driving system is also more integrated and efficient.
The S-400 can move from the preparation position to the full readiness of the engagement in a short period of no more than 5 to 10 minutes.
According to reliable sources, the S-350 viage is characterized by good operational capabilities. It can handle the dynamic air targets, such as aircraft, drones, winged missiles, ballistic missiles and similar devices, over 120 to 150 km, and can deal efficiently with ballistic targets over a maximum of 25 km.
