Amr Ezzat Salama: The Arab Universities Forum and the student polarization agents are a strategic step towards global competitiveness

The Federation of Arab Universities, in cooperation with Belgraphia, is preparing to launch the activities of the Arab Universities Forum and the agents of attracting international students, during the period from 28 to 29 July 2025 in the Jordanian capital, Amman. The forum aims to enhance international cooperation between Arab higher education institutions and agents of attracting international students accredited around the world, through bilateral meetings, signing partnership agreements, discussing the mechanisms for raising registration and student engagement in Arab universities. The field of attracting students, and in this context, Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary General of the Arab Universities Union, said that this forum represents a strategic platform to enhance the presence of Arab universities in the international educational scene, and opens new horizons for cooperation with partners specializing in attracting international students, and we in the union believe that the expansion of attracting expatriate students not only enhances cultural diversity on the university campus, but also contributes to improving the quality of education and promoting the quality of education The global competitiveness of our educational institutions. Its foundation came in response to the recommendations of two seminars held in Benghazi and Beirut, discussing the issues of Arab higher education and ways of cooperation between universities. In 1969, the first general conference was held with the participation of 23 universities, during which the General Secretariat was transferred to permanent, and Dr. Morsi Ahmed was elected the first Secretary -General of the Federation.
