
A man and woman have been charged in relation to the tragic death of a young father in an alleged hit-and-run near Adelaide.
Daniel ‘DJ’ Harrison, 25, suffered critical injuries when he was struck by a car on Hillier Road, Hillier shortly before 8pm on Tuesday.
CCTV showed shocked locals rushing to his aid moments later as the car that allegedly hit him sped away without stopping.
Mr Harrison was rushed to hospital, where he died a short time later.
Officers arrested and charged two people on Wednesday afternoon.
A Stockport woman, 21, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
A Munno Para West man, 19, was charged with two counts of aggravated affray and possess firearm without a licence after police allegedly found a firearm in his bedroom during a search of the house earlier on Wednesday.
A Holden sedan was also seized for forensic examination.

The pair will appear in Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Mr Harrison’s shattered family and friends visited the crash scene on Wednesday.
He was remembered as a doting father who had just celebrated his daughter’s fifth birthday.
‘She was everything to him. I just don’t know how they’re going to cope,’ his friend Dene Steele told Nine News.
‘I’ve got kids myself and I couldn’t imagine them losing a parent, it’s so sad.
‘He was most caring, big-hearted person you know.’
Mr Harrison played 50 games for the Brahma Lodge Football Club and was part of their premiership-winning B grade team in 2021.
‘The Brahma Lodge Football Club family sends our deepest and heartfelt condolences to DJ’s family & loved ones,’ the club posted online.
