Australian racing driver ‘raped one of Michael Schumacher’s nurses in bedroom at F1 legend’s family home’ after cocktail party at sprawling estate, prosecutors claim

An Australian racing driver raped one of Michael Schumacher’s nurses in a bedroom at the F1 legend’s family home after a cocktail party at the estate, prosecutors have claimed.
The driver, a close friend of Schumacher’s son Mick, is said to have sexually assaulted the nurse in her 30s in an upstairs bedroom at the family home in Gland, Switzerland on November 23, 2019.
He raped her twice while she was unconscious, prosecutors in Switzerland have alleged.
The accused, an Australian in his late 30s, had access to the Schumacher’s sprawling mansion where the nurse worked.
She was part of a medical team providing assistance to the former seven time F1 champion, who has not been seen in public since a 2013 ski accident.
The Schumacher family were uninvolved and have not been listed in the case at the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the District of La Côte.
The Australian claimed that he had previously kissed the nurse in a club in Geneva, something she denies, before the night of the alleged rape.
They crossed paths in the Schumacher’s billiards room on the night.

The nurse later felt unwell after drinking vodka following a shift and was unable to stand, lying on the floor.
She was carried by a physiotherapist and the defendant to a private room reserved for staff during night shifts. They put her to bed ‘without undressing her’.
The man, who was staying in a neighbouring room, returned later and raped her twice, it is claimed.
The woman filed a criminal case against him in January 2022.
The defendant cooperated during the initial stages of the investigation and travelled from Australia to be questioned, 24 Heures report.
But there are fears the case may not proceed as he has not been contactable for months.
Schumacher has not been seen in public since his skiing accident in the French Alps in 2013, which left him with catastrophic brain injuries.
He was relocated to the family home on the shores of Lake Geneva in September 2014.
The estate, built to the family’s specification in 2007, overlooks the Swiss Alps and is secluded behind heavy forestry and a specially built fencing.
During a glittering 19-year F1 career from 1991 until 2012, Schumacher raced for Ferrari, Mercedes and Benetton, amassing a £468 million fortune, along with his seven titles and taking the chequered flag 91 times.
