Bend it like Sweeney! Hollywood star shows off football skills during surprise appearance at Portuguese football match

Sporting Lisbon fans were treated to a touch of stardust on their Friday night, with acting superstar Sydney Sweeney showing off her ball skills on the pitch.
The Euphoria and White Lotus actress was at Estadio Jose Alvalade to watch Sporting’s 3-0 victory against Estoril.
After the match, Sweeney showed off her footballing skills while having a knock around on the pitch with English actor Leo Woodall, also known for his breakout role in White Lotus, as well as One Day.
The pair were also joined by Matthew Goode, known for his roles in The Crown and Downton Abbey.
Sweeney showed off some impressive close control dribbling skills, and even beat Woodall for pace when the 29-year-old actor attempted to close her down.
One person even wrote on social media that she had ‘better dribbling skills’ than club legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

Decked out in jeans, a hoodie and leather jacket, the American star played around with Sporting mascot Jubas in a video which has now been widely shared across social media.
The pair are in Portugal ahead of the filming of their upcoming film, Custom of the Country. The adaptation of Edith Wharton’s classic was announced only last month.
The club even shared a post of the Hollywood trio with the caption, ‘Welcome to Alvalade Sydney Sweeney, Leo Woodall and Matthew Goode’.
They were fortunate enough to witness a home victory over local rivals Estoril, with Luis Suarez’s brace and an added-time third from Daniel Braganca consolidating Sporting’s second-place position. Rui Borges’ side are now only four points behind league-leaders Porto.
