Boxing trainer who filmed with Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher ‘is jailed for 17 YEARS over drugs probe’

A boxing trainer who filmed with Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher has been jailed for his involvement in a drugs probe surrounding £18.5million-worth of cocaine, according to a report.
Michael McNally, 42, trained with Neville, throwing punches at the Sky Sports pundit and Manchester United legend as colleague Carragher watched on, laughing.
According to The Sun, he has now been jailed for 17 years – with the verdict delivered earlier this month – for peddling 50kg of heroin and 200kg of cocaine, having supplied the drugs in 2020.
McNally is also reported to have trained former world champion Tony Bellew as an amateur.
It is reported that he used an encrypted mobile phone network, which is regularly used by criminals, named EncroChat.
Millions of messages were passed onto UK police after EncroChat was accessed by international law enforcement in 2020, and McNally was known as ‘LuckyPanda.’

He appeared on an episode on The Overlap that saw Carragher take Neville around his home town
The messages were traced to McNally when he shared photos of a car crash outside his house, with police present.
Police attended his address in May, finding a semi-automatic pistol – with ammo – and £23,000. He pleaded guilty to charges that included conspiracy to transfer criminal property, possession of a prohibited firearm, and conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
He was jailed on November 7 at Liverpool crown court.
His video with the former footballers came in 2021 and was filmed at Rotunda ABC in Liverpool.
It took place when Carragher gave Neville a tour of the area of Merseyside where he grew up, starting at a gym which the Liverpool legend claimed to visit daily.
There, McNally gave Neville a session, and the episode of The Overlap has been viewed 3.2million times by fans.
Jon Hughes of the National Crime Agency said: ‘This operation has successfully taken a drug supplier out of the community, a dangerous weapon off the streets and cash out of the hands of criminals.’
Neville and Carragher were contacted for comment by The Sun.
