Bruce Willis is dragged into Diddy’s trial amid day three of Cassie Ventura’s testimony

Bruce Willis’ name was dragged into Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ ongoing sex trafficking trial in New York on Thursday amid Cassie Ventura’s testimony in court.

The disgraced music mogul’s trial began earlier this week on Monday – with Ventura, 38, taking the stand for the third day in a row.

During the latest cross-examination, Cassie gave details of her past relationship with Combs, which lasted from 2007 until 2018.

Text message exchanges were shown to the jury, including one where she expressed her desire to have a larger role in Diddy’s life as well as with his children from previous relationships.

However, she felt that the main role she had in his life was to be a part of the rapper’s ‘freak offs’ – and she explained to the court, ‘It could be a little heartbreaking,’ per People

She also gave examples of successful Hollywood relationships between stars who had children with other people.

Back in 2013, Cassie had penned a text that read: ‘As much as you think you’re Bruce Willis, you aren’t. He’s married, and before he was married, the family as a whole went on trips together or just him and his woman.’

The Die Hard actor was previously married to Demi Moore and they share three children. Despite their divorce in 2000 – the two stars have maintained a close bond and positive co-parenting relationship.

She also brought up Eddie Murphy and his wife Paige Butcher whom he married in 2024. However, the pair had been dating for years leading up to tying the knot.

‘Eddie Murphy and Paige took his kids away on their own,’ Ventura had written in the messages. ‘I don’t think that you sympathize with my feelings.

‘I understand you feeling like you need to protect your children but after a while…it’s like for what?’

On Thursday, other texts were shown to the jury by the defense lawyer to give examples of Cassie’s frustration towards Combs, as well as her jealousy with his interactions with other women.

‘You’re making me look like a side piece and that is not what I thought I was,’ the singer had also written back in 2013.

Ventura stated that when they first began dating, Diddy did not want her seeing any other men and would get angry when he had suspected that she was having an affair.

However, she explained Combs could see whomever he wanted – including ex Kim Porter whom he shares children with.

At point when Ventura was on the stand on Thursday, she also read out explicit messages to the jury.

One email in court written by Ventura also gave insight into her past relationship with Diddy where she expressed that she simply ‘needed his attention.’

‘That’s not being in a relationship with someone that you love and are in love with … I am really hurt by the way you deal with me, I don’t need your money, I need some attention.’

The jury was also shown text messages where Cassie had penned that she enjoyed the ‘freak offs.’

In 2017, she wrote: ‘Please don’t play victim. That’s all you wanted and that’s why I was upset. I love our FOs when we both want it.’

Combs’ lawyers showed the exchange to explain to the jury that she was not coerced into participating in the ‘freak off’ sessions.

In regards to the message, she told the court, ‘I would say that loving FOs were just words at that point.’

Later on Thursday, Ventura talked about both hers and Diddy’s past drug use together and how they would call each other ‘Get High partners.’

Cassie explained, ‘The drugs became a thing over time. Became the main event for us.’

At one point during the cross-examination, however, she had expressed frustration and said that the jury was not getting the full context of text message exchanges.

She told the judge, ‘This isn’t about what I feel is relevant right now, right? Because there’s a lot we skipped over.’

Ventura is expected back inside the court room in New York on Friday as the cross-examination continues.

On Wednesday, it was revealed that the notorious ‘freak off’ videos at the center of Diddy’s trial will not be released to the public, nor will their full contents ever be known – despite being shown to the jury.

Judge Arun Subramanian sided with lawyers for Combs and alleged victim Cassie Ventura, both of whom both asked that the explicit content remain private.

The videos are said to show Cassie and another woman referred to only as ‘Jane’ in the throes of horrendous sex acts with prostitutes they say Diddy forced on them.

They are central to the prosecution’s case that Diddy abused and trafficked the women, and have long been speculated over by the public.

Super fans and pop culture fanatics who have long speculated over who may be involved in the disturbing case have eagerly awaited the footage. Many believe it will reveal the identities of others who might have been involved.

But the judge decided against allowing journalists to even review the footage and report on the contents of the videos.

Showing the clips or screenshots of them to anyone but the jury would retraumatize Cassie and the other victim, he said.

Combs’ lawyers meanwhile insisted that the videos were ‘adult pornography’ and flagged privacy concerns.

Ventura’s attorney argued that there could be a ‘chilling effect’ on future sexual abuse cases if the material is released. Subramanian ruled against the release of the explicit videos and images on Wednesday.

The decision means that the contents of the clips and images will only ever be known to a select few within the court, including the jury who viewed the material from behind a privacy screen which obscured the evidence from the media.

The videos and pictures have been submitted as evidence in Combs’ sex trafficking and racketeering trial in New York, where has denied all charges.

The court has heard extensive evidence about the so-called freak offs, booze and drug fueled sex parties allegedly orchestrated by Combs.

Ventura has claimed that she was coerced into the days-long sessions after she got into a relationship with Combs when she was just 19 and he was 18 years her senior.

Jurors had somber reactions as they were shown five still images from the freak offs which Ventura was involved in.

She delivered bombshell testimony about how she was allegedly coerced into participating in the drug-fueled sex sessions along known as ‘freak offs’, along with male escorts.

Cassie described the alleged sessions in harrowing detail and claimed that Combs would often direct the male sex workers to urinate in her mouth.

When asked if she had wanted this, she said a firm ‘no’, describing it as ‘humiliating is anyone was there to see it. It was disgusting, it was too much, overwhelming.’

In an indication of the procedure, she said she was choked and ‘I was laid on the floor in a position I couldn’t easily get out of.’

Ventura described how she was supplied with a cocktail of drugs and booze prior to freak offs, which she said she used to numb the trauma of the situation.

The court was also played video from an infamous 2016 altercation at a Los Angeles hotel in which Ventura was attacked by Combs.

She testified that he became violent after she tried to end a freak off early to attend a movie premiere later that night.

Surveillance footage from the hotel corridor captured Combs battering a terrified Ventura, while holding nothing but a towel around his waist.

‘I’m not sure what happened. I got hit by Sean and had a black eye and at that point all I could think about was getting out of their safely. I had my premiere and didn’t want to mess it up,’ she said.

‘I just knew I had to get out. I grabbed my stuff and ran out as fast as I could. I made it to the elevators, got my sneakers on. The next thing I was just thrown to the ground.

‘It was really fast. I ran out without any shoes. It was faster. Sean grabbed me by the back of my neck and threw me to the ground.’

The incident was one of a string of violent attack that left the singer bloodied and bruised over the course of their 10 year relationship, the court heard.
