Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass suffers major injury blow two days out from NFL opener against Baltimore Ravens

Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass was placed on injured reserve by the team on Friday, meaning he will miss at least the team’s first four games of the season due to a groin ailment.

The timing comes two days before the Bills, who have Super Bowl aspirations, face the Baltimore Ravens to open the NFL season.

The Bills signed veteran kicker Matt Prater on Thursday, leading to his elevation to replace one of the elite special-teams players in the NFL for the foreseeable future.

More to come.
