Cascada Is Headlining This Week’s RAYDIA Festival So It’s Time To Grab Final Tix ASAP
I guarantee you no one will be evacuating the dancefloor at RAYDIA Fest this weekend, ‘cos we’re about to have our socks rocked off.
Yep, the rumours are true — global dance music icon Cascada is taking the stage, joining international drag superstar Marina Summers and DJs among the likes of Manuel Coby, Ana Julieta, Dan Slater, and BRYANT.
The festival is taking over The Domain in Sydney this Saturday (15 November, to be specific) and aims to deliver a world-class celebration of music, performance, and pride. Judging by the looks of that line-up, it won’t be difficult.
What do I need to know about RAYDIA?
The festival was founded by Alex Daoust, the creator of the beloved Domain Dance Party from Sydney WorldPride. Suffice it to say, RAYDIA is set to be the biggest LGBTQIA+ event in the nation this year.
The event is also prepared to make history as the first dance party in The Domain to feature an arena-style stage “in the round”, AKA giving the audience a 360 view of the performance. It’s designed to be an immersive dancefloor experience like no other, with fans getting closer to the action than ever before.
What’s the full line-up?
Cascada is making her first Australian appearance in over seven years, headlining the main stage with the euphoric dance-pop hits that truly defined a generation. And yes, I am definitely listening to “Everytime We Touch” as I type this.
She’ll be joined by beloved Filipina drag queen Marina Summers (aka the runner-up in season one of Drag Race Philippines), who will be bringing a full-blown extravaganza of a show, theatrics and all.
There’ll also be a series of DJs and countless Sydney drag icons among the likes of Coco Jumbo and Space Horse. RAYDIA will also highlight more than 20 dancers hand-picked from local communities, so you know it’s a grassroots celebration too.
