Charli xcx Assembles Fellow It-Girls In New Teaser For Her Upcoming Movie The Moment
Charli xcx is starring as a fictionalised version of herself in the new teaser for The Moment, which is packed to the brim with brat callbacks and even a moment for “Boom Clap”.

The clip, which landed overnight, is extremely meta, and sees Charli portraying herself after the release of an album and in the lead up to a world tour.
In what could pass as a documentary, there are flashes of Charli’s iconic brat album cover, mentions of brat summer, and snippets of Charli’s appearances on late-night talk shows.
Elsewhere, we see glimpses of Charli’s co-stars like Alexander Skarsgård, Kate Berlant and Rachel Sennott, the last of whom previously appeared in the music video of the brat track “360”.
We also get a quick look at Kylie Jenner in what will be her acting debut, proving that the Kar-Jenner clan are coming for the big screen whether we like it or not.
The official logline for The Moment promised the story of “a rising pop star who navigates the complexities of fame and industry pressure”, and we now know that pop star is Charli herself.
If all of it feels a little too close to real life, Charli has clarified the intention of the film, saying last month that is playing a “hell version” of herself to offer “the realest depiction of the music industry that I’ve ever seen”.
Meanwhile, director Aidan Zamiri continued to lather on the meta-ness, saying The Moment depicts a version of reality where Charli made “entirely different choices” during the promotion and release of brat.
The Moment will kickstart what looks to be a years-long foray into the world of Hollywood for Charli.
The singer is also set to appear alongside Olivia Wilde in an erotic drama called I Want Your Sex, as well as Natalie Portman in the upcoming flick The Gallerist and Barbie Ferreira in the horror remake of Faces of Death.
She’s also providing an album accompaniment to Emerald Fennell’s buzzy adaptation of Wuthering Heights starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi.
The Moment will premiere on January 30, 2026, at which point brat summer will have become brat autumn, winter and spring. We may as well just coat the entire calendar in neon green.
