
The Permanent Committee for Follow-up of Egyptian-African Relations held its regular meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by Ambassador Abu Bakr Hafni Mahmoud, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Affairs Abroad, and with the participation of representatives of ministries and concerned authorities, government companies and the public sector, along with representatives of the private sector and major Egyptian companies.
The meeting, which was held today, Tuesday, focused on following up on the development and economic projects that Egypt is implementing in cooperation with African countries, in the fields of renewable energy and agriculture. And industry, in addition to developing infrastructure by improving roads and ports and linking regional markets.
The meeting also dealt with joint programs for capacity building and exchanging experiences between government institutions and private companies, in addition to examining ways to enhance trade and investment exchange.
The meeting touched on new cooperation opportunities, which included studying agricultural and commercial projects, in addition to training and educational programs to develop human resources, with a focus on achieving tangible economic benefits for both parties and enhancing Regional integration in the African continent.
