Demi Moore, 63, sparks concern with slimmer-than-ever appearance at 2026 Actor Awards

Demi Moore has sparked concern after she arrived to the 2026 Actor Awards looking particularly slim.

The Oscar nominated actress, 63, made her grand entrance in a stunning gown by Schiaparelli, a strapless black dress featuring a crocodile print and elaborate white feathered train.

Moore’s newly-chopped hair was slicked back away from her gorgeous complexion, which was touched up with blush, eye liner, and a pink lip tint.  

As stunning as Moore appeared on the red carpet, it was not her glamorous appearance that captured the attention of netizens but rather her slender physique.

After photos of Moore gracing the red carpet were released, X users raised their concerns about her trim figure and speculation she may have been on Ozempic to lose weight.

‘Is she on Ozempic?’ one user asked Grok.

‘Too skinny,’ one wrote.

‘She… didn’t look like this last year, did she?’ another asked.

‘Good grief is all of Hollywood on Ozempic?’ one asked.

An X user asked if she was taking The Substance, the black market drug her character took to retain her youth in the 2024 body horror film of the same name.

‘Is she actually on the substance?’ another asked.

‘Food must be very expensive in LA,’ another asked.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Moore for comment but have not yet heard back. 

Hollywood icon Moore is not nominated for any Actor Awards this year but in 2025 was an awards show favorite with her starring turn in The Substance.

Her portrayal earned her the Screen Actors Guild Award at last year’s ceremony. 

The Actor Awards come after Moore’s recent dramatic transformation. 

The star, who is famous for her long, sleek black hair, has entered a new era by chopping off her locks in favour of a new wavy bob cut. 

Moore’s decision to get a bob cut comes despite her saying previously that she would never cut her hair as having long locks into her 60s was her own way of not conforming to patriarchal norms.   

‘I’ve done everything to my hair. I’ve shaved it. I’ve dyed it. I’ve had a bob. When I’m not working, I try to do as little to it as possible,’ she told People in 2022. 

‘It’s stressful even having someone touch it. If I don’t have anywhere to go, I don’t put heat on it—I just try to let it do its own thing. And I don’t wash it too often,’ she added.

She added that she’s most comfortable now with her long hair, and that she gets ‘tiny trims’ or ‘dustings,’ though she said she’d be, ‘hard-pressed’ to cut it all off again. 

‘I think now that I’m older, I also know, I don’t have anything to prove. So if they really need my hair different, they can give me a wig,’ she said, adding, ‘also not as clear how it would grow back!’

She also added that having long hair into her 60s is her own way of not conforming to patriarchal norms.

‘I remember hearing someone say that when women get older, they shouldn’t have long hair. And something about that stuck with me,’ Demi said.

‘Like who says? It made me feel like, well, if it can grow and it’s not unhealthy, then why shouldn’t we?’ she continued.

‘I’m not comfortable with rules that don’t seem to have any real meaning or justification,’ she added. 

This year’s Actor Awards saw Michael B. Jordan pull off the upset of awards season as he beat Timothee Chalamet for the top acting prize at the ceremony. 

That was not the only massive surprise for the talented star as his film, Sinners, also shocked as it earned top prize Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

The 39-year-old star was left in tears as he earned the win in the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role.

He beat out Chalamet who starred in Marty Supreme in a field which also included: Leonardo DiCaprio – One Battle After Another, Ethan Hawke – Blue Moon, and Jesse Plemons – Bugonia.

Chalamet, 30, was a good sport as he stood up and applauded Jordan alongside his co-star Gwyneth Paltrow , 53.

When his name was announced, it was his mother Donna Jordan who had a shocked look on her face as she joyfully grabbed his shoulders. During his speech, Jordan recognized his mother in a very sweet way as he said: ‘Mom, thank you for driving me back and forth to New York, when we didn’t have enough money to go through the Holland Tunnel.’

The Ryan Coogler written and directed horror flick later earned the top ensemble acting prize over Frankenstein ( Netflix ), Hamnet (Focus Features), Marty Supreme (A24), and One Battle After Another (Warner Bros).

Delroy Lindo spoke out on behalf of the cast as they earned Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture just one week after he and Jordan were presenting at the BAFTAs last weekend when a guest with Tourette’s bellowed the word ‘n*****’ at them.

John Davidson, whose life story inspired the BAFTA-nominated film I Swear, shouted the expletive while the black actors presented the first prize of the night at the Royal Festive Hall in London this past Sunday.

Lindo later hit out at BAFTA for failing to address the incident with him following the ceremony, saying he wished ‘someone from BAFTA spoke to us afterward.’

Jessie Buckley was in disbelief as she triumphed over the likes of Kate Hudson and Emma Stone to earn the other top acting prize.

The 36-year-old Irish actress was emotional as she earned Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her work in Hamnet.

The star-studded field included the aforementioned Hudson for Song Sung Blue and Stone for Bugonia along with Rose Byrne – If I Had Legs I’d Kick You and Chase Infiniti – One Battle After Another.

The Chloé Zhao-directed and written film takes place after Agnes and William Shakespeare (Buckley and Paul Mescal) lose their son Hamnet to the plague and grapple with grief in 16th-century England, based on the novel of the same name. 

Amy Madigan was honored in the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role category for her work in Weapons. 

The 75-year-old actress won over: Odessa A’zion – Marty Supreme, Ariana Grande – Wicked: For Good, Wunmi Mosaku – Sinners, and Teyana Taylor – One Battle After Another. 

 Sean Penn was not in attendance but he did win Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for One Battle After Another.

The 65-year-old acting legend won over Miles Caton – Sinners, Benicio Del Toro – One Battle After Another, Jacob Elordi – Frankenstein, and Paul Mescal – Hamnet.
