Egypt and Saudi Arabia sign a tourism cooperation program during the visit to Riyadh

As part of his current visit to the city of Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to participate in the meetings of the General Assembly of the United Nations Tourism Organization (UNTourism), Sherif Fathi, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, and Ahmed Al-Khatib, Minister of Tourism of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, signed a draft executive program for joint cooperation in the field of tourism between the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Saudi Ministry of Tourism.

 

This executive program comes based on the memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides in November 2014 for cooperation. In the field of tourism.

During the signing ceremony, the two ministers stressed the importance of this program in supporting and enhancing ways of joint cooperation in the field of tourism between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the pivotal role of tourism in both countries and its contribution to economic development, in addition to supporting regional coordination in the field of tourism and travel.

This executive program is scheduled to address cooperation in many fields, including joint tourism promotion, activation and marketing, tourism qualification and training, sustainable tourism and the exchange of best practices in this field, in addition to To international cooperation within the framework of regional and international organizations.

The signing ceremony was attended by Ambassador Ihab Abu Sari, Egyptian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Professor Youmna Al-Bahar, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Engineer Ahmed Youssef, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, and Professor Rana Gohar, Advisor to the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Communication and Foreign Relations and General Supervisor of the General Administration of International Relations and Agreements at the Ministry.
