The Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Mozambique, Ambassador Mohamed Farghal, confirmed that the first phase of the House of Representatives elections for Egyptians abroad is going very smoothly, amid careful organization and full cooperation between the embassy and the National Elections Authority.
Ambassador Farghal explained, in exclusive statements to “Nile Radio” – All preparations were coordinated with the National Elections Authority through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the office of Representative Jamil Al-Habbashi, indicating that there are clear instructions and precise directions to ensure that the electoral process proceeds without any obstacles.
He added that the embassy prepared instructions for citizens and the network connected to the voter database in Egypt, in addition to preparing secret ballot boxes and the designated place. To voters, stressing that the identity of each citizen is verified before voting through identification papers and official voter lists.
He pointed out that the embassy held meetings at various stages before the start of the elections with the aim of educating citizens about the importance of participation, pointing out that official events, such as the Grand Egyptian Museum celebration, were used to remind citizens of their electoral rights and urge them to vote. He stressed that the real winners at this stage are the Egyptians abroad themselves, because their participation represents a sense of belonging and the exercise of their constitutional right, stressing that the Egyptian community in Mozambique is participating very positively in shaping the future.
