
Ambassador Ahmed Hafez, Egypt’s ambassador to Canada, confirmed today, Friday, that the voting process for the Egyptian community in the second phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections is going smoothly and regularly, noting that the embassy has provided all the necessary facilities to ensure that voting takes place in an appropriate atmosphere.
The two subcommittees at the embassy headquarters in Ottawa and the Consulate General in Montreal opened their doors at nine in the morning local time, to receive voters, as part of the voting that extends over two days. Friday and Saturday from nine in the morning until nine in the evening.
Ambassador Ahmed Hafez said, in press statements, that the embassy has made all the required arrangements in coordination with the National Elections Authority, to ensure complete readiness for the conduct of the electoral process, calling on the members of the community to actively participate and exercise their constitutional right in this important national entitlement.
The second phase of the elections includes the constituencies of thirteen governorates: Cairo, Qalyubia, Dakahlia, Menoufia, Gharbia, Kafr El-Sheikh, Sharqia, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai, and South Sinai.
Elections will be held abroad on November 21 and 22 in 139 embassies and consulates in 117 countries, while voting inside Egypt will begin on November 24 and 25, with the final result announced on December 2.
In the event of a runoff, voting abroad will be repeated on two days. December 15 and 16, and inside Egypt on December 17 and 18, with the results being announced on December 25.
